Job Title: Freight Forwarder Commercial Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Freight Forwarder Commercial Manager to join our team. As a Freight Forwarder Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all commercial aspects of our freight forwarding operations. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue, maintain customer satisfaction, and drive business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in freight forwarding and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute commercial strategies to meet business objectives and drive revenue growth.
2. Identify and target new business opportunities, clients, and markets to expand the customer base and increase market share.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Negotiate and manage contracts with customers, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
5. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats and adjust business strategies accordingly.
6. Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of freight forwarding services and meet customer expectations.
7. Provide guidance and support to the sales team in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, preparing proposals, and closing deals.
8. Conduct regular performance reviews of the commercial team, set targets and objectives, and provide coaching and training to enhance their skills and performance.
9. Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and analysis on key performance indicators, sales activities, and market trends to senior management.
10. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing freight forwarding operations.
11. Continuously evaluate and improve processes, systems, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
12. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote services and build industry relationships.

Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry, demonstrating a track record of success in commercial management and business development.
3. Solid understanding of international freight forwarding operations, including import/export regulations, customs procedures, shipping documentation, and logistics processes.
4. Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
6. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching, motivating, and developing a high-performing commercial team.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in using relevant software and technology platforms, including freight management systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
